MillieKate Dhu
MillieKate joined Patuxent Playhouse in the summer of 2007, bringing
with her over 30 years of experience both on and off stage. She has
worked in summer stock (upstate NY) in productions of Kismet, Bells
Are Ringing, Bye Bye Birdie, Brigadoon and Gypsy. While in college,
she was the student director of "The Little Foxes".
Shortly after moving to Southern Maryland, she created her own
business, Kreations by MillieKate, where she writes, directs
and produces murder mystery dinner theaters. She also founded a
theater group for senior citizens at the Loffler Senior Center last
year.
As a PPI member, MillieKate has been a stage manager
and the prop and costume mistress for several of the productions and
also serves as the secretary for the Corporate Sponsorship
Committee. The Nerd will be MillieKate's directorial debut with PPI
and has dedicated this to her husband who has always supported her
theatrical endeavors, and to the memory of her late mother.
