Les underwent a life changing experience when he was relocated to Southern Maryland by the Federal Witness Protection Program. After decades of striving to stay out of the public eye, he found the freedom to become involved in the arts under his new identity and discovered community theatre. New Jersey authorities, who used to consider him a “bad actor” when he worked as an enforcer for the Family, have to concede now that he brings a fresh perspective to the stage. They did, however, caution us to use some care in speaking with Les. In particular, they thought it best if people refrained from using the traditional actor’s good luck expression, “break a leg”, in his presence.
